Hooray! Time for our 2nd official Stormhoek Geekdinner has arrived.
If you haven?t been to one yet, and you are a geek, don?t miss out! (If you are one of the mighty lucky ones to be visiting or living in Cape Town this week that is). It?s this Friday 22nd December
To celebrate this utterly glorious summer playground our theme is: What?s HOT.
So prepare to come and share hot tech tools, toys and tweaks that you?ve been using this year, or what you?re looking forward to next year (?and DAMN it?s gonna be a hot one for geeks next year!). Ever closer to my now infamous tag that ?the geek shall inherit the earth? :-P
Because it?s holiday time we wanted to be out of the city - so we?ll be enjoying the gorgeous sunset in Hout Bay for sundowners if you come around 6ish. We?ll start officially at 7, but come early & enjoy the view :)
We only have 43 places available seriously - wasn?t trying to be funny. There?ll be a line.up of interesting topics in between the eating and drinking (yes Stormhoek are laying on a good few bottles for us - thanks Graham!) and an open mike if you want to share. It?s going to be relaxed, playful and open.source so if you have suggestions please pop them on the wiki. We?ll have a flickr pool so bring yr cameras.

PS. We recommend lift-sharing - not just ?cos we?re envirofriendly, but it?s a gr8 way to bond, and relax into having the vino if you have a designated driver.
PPS. I?m probably going to get into the kitchen and get my cooking skills on.. I?ll let y?all know tomorrow when I?ve confirmed. Then we can do open.sauce on the foodies ;-) and you can have a hand in selecting the menu. Fun.
Oh yeah.. last addendum: if your city hasn?t hosted a geekdinner* yet, get on it: like BarCamp it?s a great way to develop projects, brilliant conversation and see what the person behind the IM?s actually looks like :-P (and oh yeah free Stormhoek wine). Why hasn’t the geek guy got a thought bubble? Or, no hang on a second, I recognise that genus - he’s a SACSadorcarse found most prevalently hanging out at the Constantia Shopping Mall or Dean St Arcade traipsing knuckles on the floorlike after a bit of skirt! Bwahaahaaha!
