• Stiaan is a legend, undoubtedly. Adore & respect his work, humour & good oke-ness more each time we connect. [He's trying to coax Belinda, his bubbly wife to blog & sat me next to her to begin the sale - I think she may've convinced me instead about keeping it real & moving to a small town instead (thankfully that spell didn't last long).. I think he may need to introduce her to the fast & funny mommyblogger titan Tertia, to close the deal.] thanks for organising this Stii!
  • My best part: I got to stay on the cliff’s edge in Gerry (TresBlue) & Alta Roozendal’s wonderful farmhouse replete with resident ghost, a castle turret and 3 rescue-dogs that yanked at my heartstrings :’-)((thank you thank you thank you both!!)) I missed out on the humpback whale ballet that they have front-row seats to, this time, but the tranquility of looking out over loooooong sweeping coastline while tucked in bed was magical. We swapped diving stories till deep into the night, unaccompanied by anymore sinful shiraz – whew – (this was my least rowdy geekdinner to date, no less fun but certainly more sober!)
  • I didn’t get to hang with the creative wildman Jayx :-(
  • Rafiq actually spoke for more than a minute – our future TEDster is practising ;-) – and tried to encouraging more blogging behaviour by assuring us of an avalanche of free stuff bloggers get!! (well if you have a million visits a month like the AddiCTs do I guess :-P, but for the rest of us, it’s gotta be for the love or marketing)
  • Charl delighted me – he is such an archetypical geek in the best ways – a seriously sharp fellow with a wicked sense of humour – he did a quick flyby on microformats, their local linux users group (GROSSUG – v.amusing guys) & the Semantic Web
  • I am sooooo glad I got to spend more time with Miguelquiet but dangerously smart – he & Rafiq will be shaking the local tech scene with much force after their VeloCITI training: my guarantee!
  • Somewhere inbetween I met fine-looking fellow Rhys who serendipitously flirted with me, (apparently not realising the Max nerdiness – he was about to find all his tech issues solved by introducing him to the Marketing Geek & rest of our GardenRoute geek gang). Business & pleasure always a delightful combination.
  • I asked the guys in the car enroute for 3 top 10 lists that I’ll have to post online as a survey or something because the results REALLY worried me. SArocks! we have lots of vooma >> but do we have enough direction & vision not to spin out?!
  • The roadtrip was fast, sugar-loaded & filled with much laughter – thank you Captain Chrisnext time we’ll load up the King Air – thanks for getting us back home safely & providing in-flight entertainment :’-D
  • Sorry you missed it Stop4th – (this one you would’ve really loved!)
