the geek shall inherit ..the GeekDinner
Geekdinner 2.0 (I know I know, it’s so difficult to resist) is reloaded & ready to go >> I’m not organising this one, it’s in the logistically-gifted hands of Joe Botha of Frogfoot this time. And it’s looking pretty swanky, all kitted out at Barbarella’s in the heart of sophisticado style in Constantia.
I’ll be up front & centre at some stage getting geekdiners to wrap their heads around “What Makes Geeks Hot” – em, hot property that is – & what we need to do to support & nurture our talent here in South Africa. I have been contemplating flipping it & sharing my freshest social media wonderland discoveries.. esp. Twitter. I’ll see what’s gonna be most valuable on the night.
If you’re a power user you’ll want to be here to see what’s evolving at the edge and if you’re a developer this is the place to come & show off your projects!
It’s gonna be deep boys & girls: so make sure you get in some cerebral yoga ahead of the sparky synaptic crackle & pop this Thursday Wednesday. Are you a geek, who coincidentally happens to be in Cape Town this Thursday Wednesday, 28 March? – then get thy geekly self to the wiki posthaste >> gijima wena!!

Max .. if I am not mistaken the Geekdinner is on Wednesday (28th) evening and not Thursday evening. We do not want you to pitch up at a empty restaurant :)
Hmmm.. one in CT too then?
Marius: thank goodness for you bru! It’s a crazy week ahead for us blogsomes – 27dinner in Jozi tomorrow night, Geekdinner CT Wednesday and the SA Blog Awards on Friday (and a couple of interesting launches & lunches inbetween!) thank you for keeping me in line ;-)
Daedalus: LOL, 27’s the crazyass spawn of the original Geekdinner – CT’s where it was born ;-)
Leave your response!
It’s worth being here if :
You're damn good at what you do & would love to share your expertise in think.tanks, lectures, programmes or books, but don't know where to begin.

can you teach what you know?
Bright minds, big hearts: volunteer lecturing & mentoring that could help to change the shape of the world. Good for the CV, good for the soul. You in?
That special breed of genius I hunt isn't defined by a Stanford-Binet number; rather by a visionary capacity, good taste in problems, the ability to forge unusual creative connections, the brave foolishness to fail gloriously and generosity of spirit to build something beyond personal gain.
Unearthing the pioneers too prescient for their time, quirky Amelie.types who find magic in the mundane, the people who give a damn. Those who approach the world with bright minds, big hearts & clean hands. ..then what? Find out here.
