.. my Monday SARocks! musings in honour of where my web AND real.world surfing adventures began.. back in Web 1.0. Huge respect to Dr Spike of Wavescape for helping me get my toes in the water..
This surfing web site seriously ranks among the world’s finest surf portals: so if you do blended reality surfing.. online and offline/offshore don’t miss Wavescape for your dose of stoke.
<< this little wicked one was my 2nd board. Tragically I gave it horns, but turns out I’m a pathetic waverider.. thank goodness there’s always online surfing :-P

Hey Max
Do you still surf (waves) ?
I have a surfboard here which I almost never use, mostly because I’m too lazy to care about the weather. If Roxy can have surf sessions for girls I guess we can organise surf sessions for geeks.
Wonder how many geeks surf..

He-he, ou Spike, nice guy. BTW, you surf on Muizenburg side or Atlantic? If you come to the Atlantic side, lemme know, we’re a great crowd of new-age longboarders keen to teach others to longboard… I’ve even got my board branded Beachbum :-) BTW, skyped you.

I’ve always thought about having a go at surfing, but we live nowhere near the coast to make it happen with any kind of regularity.
Plus I have the balance of a broken chair on castors.
