The 27dinner has outgrown itself again.
The Cape Town dinner has popped its seams due to demand :)
Marketing Geek Dave found us a gorgeous spot looking out over the Atlantic Ocean & Robben Island - how appropriate for Freedom Day! Clever fellow.
The lineup for the talks has been confirmed :
Greenman Ian Gilfillan, the awardwinning ZAshow podcaster Glen Verran, the wild & wonderful cartooning sire of Bru and Boegie Mike Scott… and maybe if we’re very lucky my mate Rus Nerwich (world class muso & wildman of jazz) will swing some beats for us.
It’s going to be yet another cooking night of engaging with the brightest minds of new media, marketing and technology in the Mother City.
Oh did I almost forget? Just in case you weren’t convinced by the quality of the company : the legendary Graham Knox will be bringing on free Stormhoek wine AGAIN! (aaaargh.. hope I behave this time)
There are now 20 more seats that can be snapped up due to the new venue (click pic) so dash to the wiki to avoid feeling left out if you missed the first ones >>

What a gorgeously written post!
It didn’t even occur to me that the new venue overlooks Robben Island! WOW. That’s really significant - Madiba’s 27years jail partly inspired the name for the event. This is gonna be a special 1.
Thank YOU for all the inspiration and ideas.
Also - most of the credit for the venue should go to the Stormhoekers who recommended it > Chris and Graham.
Isn’t it lekka - a shpot by the sea!
I have engraved the date & venue into my arm so as to not startle anymore innocent hotel staff, and this time ensure I get to meet some other geeks, other than the local Bergies…
Look forward to it!
Hotel school food, yeeha. Food is so yummy. Was there for the tertiary rounds of the National Innovation Competition awards in 2004 & 2005. It’s going to be so good :)
Wish I could come! Sounds like a recipe for yet another great 27 dinner. Will make a CT dinner one of these days! please don’t behave - and take lots of pics for those of us who can’t be there and wish we were! have a brilliant day :)
