OMG I had dinner with Jimmy Wales & Prof Lessig .. and partied with them afterwards! (thank you iCommons team) I am such a geek groupie :-P
The hunter of genius was stopped in her tracks when confronted with deep genius ..and was mostly just in goofy awe.
I’ll post through the week on the funtimes and fundamental techtonic-shifts these internet icons brought our ZA way.
- 1st @SARocks! on how both slammed the telecomm’s stranglehold in South Africa
- 2nd :’-D Justin Nurse of Laugh It Off from his intro at the iCommons conference (where Justin certainly laughs something off! LOL)
I LOVED meeting more of the online crew like the Muso’s, the brilliant Buckland, the Apache founder fellow from SF, it was FUN and educational … more edutainment to come in the week >>

Nice to meet you too, Max. :-)

These days I pick away at open source projects from time to time, but mostly on corporate .NET stuff, and read the news stories of the Web2.0 parties and launch events with a certain wistfullness.

The astonishing tool that borderless netizens freely (and I do mean in the enlightened opensource way) use to discover and grow their own genius ..and bank accounts.
Genius begets genius.
Thank heavens for Wordpress.
That special breed of genius I hunt isn't defined by a Stanford-Binet number; rather by a visionary capacity, good taste in problems, the ability to forge unusual creative connections, the brave foolishness to fail gloriously and generosity of spirit to build something beyond personal gain.
Unearthing the pioneers too prescient for their time, quirky Amelie.types who find magic in the mundane, the people who give a damn. Those who approach the world with bright minds, big hearts & clean hands. ..then what? Find out here

warning ahead: I'm embarrassingly negligent at times with email & never read FB mail.
But happily, there are other ways to contact me if there's stuff in here that delights and invites more interaction.
