Your post reminded me of my first visit to San Francisco, and my wide eyed stares from the car as we drove north out of the bay - passing the offices of Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Autodesk and co...

These days I pick away at open source projects from time to time, but mostly on corporate .NET stuff, and read the news stories of the Web2.0 parties and launch events with a certain wistfullness.

Justin's vid is great! so far I have only heard good things about the weekend and I hope the impact/influence is felt deeply - and by that i mean beyond the blogosphere |(no use preaching to the converted ;) - one can only hope that such a prestigious visit has some influence over government and other key players who keep the information gates tightly locked at the moment - and boy I am bleak i missed the partyjie!
