Taking to the trees to avoid lions, hahaha! The tourists are going to be disappointed when they start scheduling their own events here and the lions are all on strike.

Excellent.

Am glad Chris got involved. This is what I meant when commenting at Nic's site about expanding the bubble. You guys in SA must hook more and more international profiles to participate in the local blogosphere. You will reap the benefits over and over again.

Show them you are outward reaching and not myopic. Show them that you deserve to be included in the global debate and are not satisfied to settle only on regionalised conferences. Show them the love and support you have for the country and its future.

Force them to include you in web and technological developments that will in one way or another impact the southern hemisphere. You know it. I know it. They realise it should be that SA has a place on the world stage so make it happen again and again and again until you become a full partner in developing global technologies that benefit all peoples.

What is the next event on the calander?

Thanks for handling the PodCorps.org introductions, Max. Wish I could have been there. Well, sort of. Driving around Portugal and Spain isn't all that bad. :-) ...doug (from Luso, outside of Mealhada, outside of Coimbra, Portugal)

Congratulations to all on a successful meeting.

Take it to the trees, or take it to the streets - whatever works!

It's good to hear you had a fine time. Here's to many more!
