So I read your 101 on 404
but for clarity I was left poor.
Do you write to pass the message
that without starting we cannot begin?

Stop, please!

Say you we should press reset
to let surface our inner meaning
and scrub the stage of patterned acting
and glorious emergent in phoenix flames
shines the son of a new altar?

Yet I must be as blind as Teiresias
to the change spanning then and now -
for in what little kernel between this moment
and the next -
this gap

lies tied with weird and woven back,
silver-threaded in the afterglow of memory.

@Gillian from a bringer of energy herself! Thank you so much for the inpiration in return :) Now I just need the $$ to hit New York for a few months to write (hahahaha what a blissful daydream), though I think Cape Town in the winter could do just as well.
Really looking forward to a riotous coffee at Neo when I'm back in the South.
Wonderful connecting back in with you Gill
[PS. for you talented ones who glance through here who may be feeling a little edgy with your dayjob.. ask me to connect you with Gillian, she's a genius at finding bright people the work that makes their heart sing]

Wow Max! What a truly wonderful read. It blew me away and hit me right in the solar plexus! Meaningful, insightful, and so so encouraging! I am waiting for that book that you are going to write, that will have us rolling on the floor laughing, rubbing our eyes with the tears, and holding our breath for more....! You are an inspiration!

Thank you all so much for the wonderful welcome back!

@Hans - oh hell yeah, and well done to you in the same step.. there is such staggering distinction when you view the world through a different lens. Just a little polarizing and the world has new depth and colour.

@Jeremy SETZER!! I am soooo thrilled that you've hit bliss at Synthasite. Oh my word well deserved too brilliant fellow. Miss our caffeinated convo's to remake the world. What a beautiful quote J :'-) thank you.. and really looking forward to seeing you (love to Wendren too)

@Cath hooray, thanks Cath.. and here's to more delicious, maybe messy but certainly more relaxed ways to tease the meaning out of this existence. And sharing back the good stuff.

@Jeanette thank you, and love your photos.. we took some glorious shots a little further into the Free State of Golden Gate starting to get golden and red with the autumn turn.

@Kerry-Anne Miss you so much too Mrs G! Thank you so much for capturing the beauty of our southern splendour Cape Town Daily Photo makes me ache for home sometimes. Neo non-coffee as soon as I'm back. Much love to you & Paul

Speechless I am. Max, you have the most incredible way of conjuring with language until it is something entirely more than the sum of its parts.

There's SO MUCH truth in what you've said up there, that it feels like a few lines of comment here won't do it justice. Which just means that we'll have to talk about it over not-coffee next time you're in Cape Town. :) I've been thinking about you so much in the last week. Miss you plenty.
