Goodies for Digital Nomads

There’s a constellation of innovative, human-friendly tools scattered out there on our vast meshed web. I’ll share-back some of the best web-applications that won’t have you wrenching hair & gnashing teeth trying to forge your way through its complex functionality; or those that extort a breath-taking fortune for its premium-ware after you’ve realised you simply can’t live without it.

[En route: check out Mashable's list of 5000+ resources to just about ANYTHING online to boggle yr brain, excite and probably elicit panic that you're falling behind]

Below, a handful of the ones I utterly adore (not just find useful, I said adore). Peek in, you may cross the suck threshold with glee with some of these apps too >>

wordpress-dandy-logo King of them all: WORDPRESS is a wonderland. [Build your own site/blog/e-store/chatgroup/social-network/media empire.. you get the idea]. If you haven’t experienced the force for good yet: go here >> Wordpress.com or Wordpress.org (if you have your own domain & host – see below for my fave).

bluehostgoodie The good host: The joy the joy! a utility service that actually develops raving fans. I love their ever-expanding offerings, it’s like an easter egg surprise .. more access to support, free add-ons & services at no extra cost. Hooray.
Oh and.. installing a Wordpress platform could not be easier. No mucking about setting up your database, downloading, uploading, code-monkeying anymore!
Free domain in the deal too makes the daunting business of setting up your own site a 7minute adventure. BRILLIANT. Now you don’t need geeks like me to decode the terror; it just isn’t scary anymore. If you haven’t set up your own-name domain now, you have no excuse! Go to it.

    Hi There
I have just received my first 100 copies of my self published book entitled “My Quest For Happiness”. ISBN number 978-0-620-43745-60

The sole purpose of the book is to give readers an insight into my life story. My intention is to give a detailed account of my experiences as a child and to talk about the challenges and struggles as well as the successes I have achieved whilst embarking on this journey of life.

I am aware that my experiences are nor unique, yet I am hoping that those reading it will be able to identify with their own personal experiences and to be grateful for what they achieved, especially those that have managed to rise above their circumstances.

For those who are still struggling to come to terms with their situation, especially those not created by themselves but inherited just by being born, I am hoping that when you read my story you too would embark on the quest for your own happiness.

Ziggy Adolph an ex English teacher of mine who also edited the book and wrote the foreword had this to say ” Earl’s story is an inspiration. I feel proud and honoured to have known him and to have played a small part in shaping his life”

I am an ordinary South African trying to reach ordinary people and to assist them in finding their own happiness.

I am hoping you would be able to help?

    Kind regards
    Earl Smiles
